In an interview with ILNA, international relations analyst Sasan Karimi considered the diplomatic trips of our country's Foreign Minister to be important in the current situation and said: If you are present on the spot, you can show initiative. Mr. Dr. Araghchi is doing the right thing by planning effective regional trips, because these trips and actions are meaningful and have certain effects. However, complete success may not always be achieved and this depends on different conditions. However, the effort of a professional diplomat and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to be effective and take the initiative at the appropriate time. Western diplomats also appear on the scene at the appropriate times and take action despite all the risks. Iran also has leverage to pressure the other side, and the fact that it has announced that it agrees to a ceasefire indicates a flexible position on the part of the Islamic Republic and a serious will.
He added: The Islamic Republic of Iran has clearly shown that it is pursuing the demands of the Palestinians, the Lebanese, and Hezbollah, and the accusations that these groups are under Tehran's domination are false. In any case, they may not agree to a ceasefire, but the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasizes that if these forces reach any agreement and result, Iran has no problem with it, and this indicates the Islamic Republic's genuine concern for the local forces, not the ambitious aspirations attributed to Iran by other parties.
Regarding the change in tactics in the behavior of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the diplomatic apparatus, this Iranian foreign policy expert stated: "Iran's history shows that it has not initiated any war in the past 150 years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has never attacked any country, and its approach to the Palestinian issue has been based on the principle that any agreement made by the Palestinians will be approved. There have not been many changes in Iran's approach, at the same time, it seems that the new government is acting more efficiently than the previous government and is expressing its positions more clearly, boldly, and realistically, and is not shying away from taking positions. Figures such as Mr. Araqchi, Mr. Takht-Ravanchi, Mr. Sanaei, and Mr. Zarif are all diplomats in various positions in this government, and Araqchi and Takht-Ravanchi in particular are efficient and experienced individuals on the foreign policy and implementation fronts."
Regarding the importance of Saudi Arabia's role in maintaining security in the Middle East, Karimi stated: "The tensions in the region are very important for Saudi Arabia as one of the largest regional players, but it is cautious in taking a position. Riyadh is one of the largest players in the world in terms of finance and energy, and the issue of oil transit, which is one of Saudi Arabia's most important sources of income, will naturally make tensions in the region an important issue for it. Of course, it should be kept in mind that in conditions where regional tensions are controlled, Saudi Arabia can sell oil more easily, and in the event of tensions, it can sell its oil more expensively, as a result of which these conditions indirectly affect Saudi Arabia's interests. However, it does not seem that Saudi Arabia has a passive position and has taken an important step away from normalizing relations with Israel, which is an important issue." He noted: "The future of the region will be greatly influenced by the initiative of the Islamic Republic." In this regard, Netanyahu has clearly shown that he is fighting on several fronts and for a long time, committing genocide and has no limits in killing military leaders and terror. Therefore, all the assumptions that may be in mind about a minimum of hostility etiquette, never exist in relation to the Israeli regime and Netanyahu and show an unconventional existence. What can be effective in the region, in my opinion, is the active activism of the Islamic Republic in all areas.
