Iran's Strategic Loneliness: Analyzing the Concept with the Case Study of the Twelve-Day War

In this session, dated 26th July 2025, at the Faculty of World Studies, following the sixth season of the faculty’s book club (J-Club), where we collectively read the book Iran’s Strategic Loneliness by Dr. Mohiuddin Mesbahi, we explored this concept, particularly through the case study of the imposed Twelve-Day War. The speakers at this session were Dr. Jahangir Karami, professor at the Faculty of World Studies; Dr. Mehdi Ahouei, professor at the Faculty of World Studies and Deputy of Research at the Iranology Foundation; and Professor Koroush Ahmadi, ex-diplomat and researcher of contemporary Iranian history and international relations. A significant number of students participated in this session, both virtually and in person.
